Vico Sotto warned corrupt officials in Pasig City
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has this fiery “patutsada” against corrupt officials under his administration.
Aside from being one of the youngest mayors in the Philippines, Vico is also known as one of the those hardworking government officials. His efficiency to lead Pasig City even became evident as how his administration responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although he ended the more than two decades of the political reign of a clan in Pasig, Vico still has to battle against the old system until now. In his recent State of the City Address, the 31-year-old mayor tackled this problem, based on the article from PEP.
He took a swipe to those officials who can’t still let go and leave the old system, corruption, and bad practices in the government.

“Meron pong iba medyo matindi pa ang kapit dun sa mga lumang kalakaran ng paggogobyerno, lumang kalakaran sa pamahalaan. Di na po ako magbabanggit ng kung sino, o kung ano, pero siguro isang paalala na din po…” he said.
Vico Sotto reiterated his call to those who are still doing these wrong practices. “Paalaala lang po muli po dun sa mga medyo matindi pa rin yung kapit dun sa lumang kalakaran. Yung mga maaaring pumasok lang sa pamahalaan para kumita ng pera,” the Pasig City Mayor said.
He admitted that there are still those who are doing these in Pasig City. Vico warned them that if they keep on doing these, he is not going to be the enemy but a whole generation of Pasigueño who are already tired of corruption in the government.
On the other hand, the young Mayor thanked those who cooperated in making Pasig a better city. He is also welcoming those who want to unite with this aim
“Dito sa Pasig, tinatalikuran natin yung mga dating gawi, mga lumang habit na alam nating hindi tama…” Vico Sotto said.
