Angelica Panganiban Speaks About Offers from Other Networks
ANGELICA PANGANIBAN – The Kapamilya actress admitted that she received offers from other networks but she’s staying with ABS-CBN.
More than three months ago, the ABS-CBN which is one of the biggest broadcasting networks in the Philippines shut down its operation. It has served the Filipinos for decades and its closure is undeniably something that was not expected by many people.
The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) released a Cease and Desist Order against the Kapamilya network. Immediately, the network shut down its broadcasting operation.
Several hearings were held to discuss the issues surrounding the ABS-CBN. The Kapamilya executive officers attended the said hearings to air the side of the network.
Last July 10, the members of the House Franchise Committee voted on the bid to deny ABS-CBN of a fresh 25-year franchise. The network failed to obtain a new franchise following a 70-11 voting result.
More than 10,000 people are employed to ABS-CBN. Many of them lost their jobs following the denial of a franchise for the network to be back to operation.
Some celebrities accepted offers from other networks to meet their family’s daily needs. Others decided to remain with the Kapamilya network now.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, one of the celebrities who received offers from other networks is actress Angelica Panganiban. She revealed it during the “Ask Angelica” virtual conference.

According to the Banana Sundae actress, transferring to another network has not crossed her mind yet although she received calls and offers. She stressed that she cannot afford to leave ABS-CBN.
Based on the report, Angelica expressed that she is happy where she is now and she does not see the need to switch networks. Meanwhile, she clarified that she has nothing bad against her fellow Kapamilya celebrities who decided to move to other networks.
“May mga kaibigan tayo sa industriya na talagang kailangang-kailangan so doon sila. Ako naman, I’m very thankful na hanggang ngayon may trabahong binibigay sa akin yung ABS-CBN,” the actress said.
Angelica is set to do a project entitled “Walang Hanggang Paalam”. She will be working with Paulo Avelino, Arci Muñoz, and Zanjoe Marudo in the said project.
