PAGASA – Trough Of LPA To Bring Cloudy Skies, Scattered Rains Over Parts Of PH This September 11, 2020
PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, September 11, 2020 (Friday).
The latest weather update from the state bureau says that the Low Pressure Area or LPA was last spotted at about 135 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes on this day.
According to GMA News, the trough of LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Caraga. The bureau warned that possible flash floods or landslides might occur during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Again, flash floods or landslides might occur during severe thunderstorms.
Based on the report, the bureau is also observing an active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of 3 AM.
The said weather system was last seen at about 2,010 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of 55 kilometers per hour. It is moving northwestward at about 15 kilometers per hour.
For the wind speed forecast, northern Luzon will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the northeast to northwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
Visayas will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the northwest to southwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
Mindanao will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the south to southwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
