2 Iloilo Board Members Admit they are Victim of Online Shopping Scam

Iloilo City two (2) board members admitted that they have been victims of online shopping scams after receiving wrong items.

In a report of Bombo Radyo, Sangguniang Panlalawigan is set to meet the courier service providers within Iloilo City. This after 4^th District Board Member Rolly Distura and Board Member Matt Palabrica were victimized by an online shopping scam.

In an interview, Distura stated that its purpose is to check with courier companies regarding the policy of the delivery of products purchased in online shops where the buyer is not allowed to open the product before handling payment.

According to Distura, due to the aforementioned policy, many buyers are skeptical of where he and Board Member Matt Palabrica have been victimized of the online shop, of which fake item was delivered to them by a well-known e-commerce company.

Distura added that it is important to pay attention to the protection of consumers or buyers. Distura, on the other hand, hopes that not only here in Iloilo but at the national level the Consumer Protection Act will give attention and to stop the scams of other online shops or sellers.

All e-commerce customers have experienced this incident. Whether you admit it or not, you are also one of the victims of online shopping scams. Well, we can’t blame ourselves especially when some pictures of the products are really appealing and the low prices are very eye-catcher.
