Here Is The New Delivery Scam Using The Name Of Lazada/Shopee
ONLINE DELIVERY SCAM – A netizen shared a recent modus done by scammers using the name of online shops such as Shopee and Lazada.
When ordering items online, your delivery service would oftentimes text or call you to confirm availability. This is what’s being used by scammers to trick people.
A post uploaded by Netizen Luigi Mahinay revealed a text from the scammers acting as personnel of Lazada Express Delivery. What’s more concerning is that these scammers are asking for your full name and address.
First of all, everything in these online shops are automated, the moment you check-out an item, you’re immediately asked for your name and address. So, there’s no need for the courier service to ask this again.
Next, the scammers ask for your availability and if not, they ask you to just leave the money to people in your address on your behalf. Furthermore, they also said that cancellation is not accepted.

As such, we should always be on the look out for signs of red flags when receiving messages like this. First, you shouldn’t give out your full name and address. Next, look for grammatical errors in the text.
