Two Delivery Riders Victimized By Online Scam In Bulacan

ONLINE SCAM IN BULACAN – Two delivery drivers were victimized by an online scammer in Malolos City, Bulacan.

According to a report from GMA News’ Balitambayan, the said online scammer uses a dummy account in order to victimize anyone.

The police reported that the suspect’s modus is to look for riders and meet them at the set place to hand over the things the scammer wants to deliver.

The scammer told the victim to make an advance payment of P1,000 to P3,000 for the merchandise and promised to pay back sooner.

However, as the victims contact the suspect, the latter never replied. The victims attempted to look into the account of the suspect, only to discover that they were blocked by the latter.

Based on the report, the parcel which the scammer wanted to “deliver” contained shoes, watches, CD cases and cables.

One of the suspect’s victims managed to took a selfie with the suspect. The incident is currently under investigation.
