BLACKPINK ‘Light Up The Sky’ Will Premiere On Netflix Next Month

BLACKPINK – Netflix announced that the documentary of BLACKPINK “Light Up the Sky” will premiere on October 14.

South Korean all-girl group BLACKPINK was formed by entertainment company YG Entertainment. The group consists of 4 members Rose, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo.

They made their breakthrough in 2016. They are now one of the most admired artists in the entertainment industry.

Last July, BLACKPINK announced that they will collaborate with American superstar Selena Gomez. Their song “Ice Cream” was released on August 28. Selena also launched her own ice cream flavor to celebrate her collab with the K-pop group.

Last week, the South Korean quartet released their “Ice Cream” performance video with Selena. They did not share a traditional choreography video, they turned to the app company Zepeto to create 3-D avatars of themselves.

The group’s long-awaited album dubbed “The Album” is set to arrive on October 2. Their song “How You Like That” made history and broke several Guinness World Records.

BLACKPINK and Netflix announced that the documentary of the girl group titled “BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky” will premiere next month. The group joined the streaming service’s growing library of music documentaries including Taylor Swift’s “Miss Americana,” Lady Gaga’s “Five Foot Two,” and Beyonce’s “Homecoming.”

Based on a report from Forbes, YG Entertainment told the media that the documentary will cover the 4 years since the K-pop group’s explosive debut in 2016. The girl’s documentary will premiere following the release of its album scheduled on October 2.

“BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky — an all-access documentary about one of the world’s most popular groups — premieres in your area on October 14! Oh and that’s not all … on October 14, these music icons will also become Netflix profile icons.”
