Duque Reacts To Corruption Allegations Says He Can’t Sleep Because Of Them
DUQUE CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS – Health Secretary Francisco Duque III couldn’t get a good night’s sleep because people linked him to corruption.
Due to the stress of being a high ranking official of the Philippines, getting sleep important to avoid burnout. Sadly, due to allegations against him, it seemed like Duque hasn’t gotten any.
During President Rodrigo Duterte’s televised public address aired Yesterday, Duque took the chance to vent out his frustrations on the Senate Committee of the Whole report.
According to an article from Inquirer, the report called for filing a malversation and graft and corruption charges against Duque and several PhilHealth officials for anomalies within the company.
“Eh ‘yung mga pumirma hindi sila ni-recommend for filing of the cases. ‘Yung hindi pumirma, ‘yun lang ang idinawit. Bakit naman gano’n?”, the Health Secretary asked. However, before he said this, Duterte had already told Duque that it wasn’t time for him to resign. Furthermore, the President gave Duque his “full trust”.
Meanwhile, because of the allegations against him, Duque couldn’t help but express the burden he bared to the President. As per the article, Duque said:

Furthermore, Duque had called the allegations against him “baseless findings” despite the evidence presented. But, to his defense, Duque emphasized that though he was implicated with the IRM fund distribution, he wasn’t even part of the deliberation and didn’t sign the resolution.
