Artist Honors Late Youtube Stars Lloyd Cadena, Emman Nimedez Through Leaf Art
ARTIST – A female artist from Biñan, Laguna honored the late Youtube stars Emman Nimedez and Lloyd Cadena through leaf art.
Youtube stars Emman Nimedez and Lloyd Cadena died within weeks of each other. Emman passed away last August 16 after his battle with acute myeloid leukemia while Lloyd died this Friday.
Lloyd’s family recently revealed the cause of his death. In a Facebook post, his family confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus.
A few hours after the sad news broke out, Lloyd Cadena’s photo with Emman Nimedez resurfaced online. Until now, people are mourning the untimely death of 2 prominent vloggers in the Philippines.

Based on a report from CNN, an artist from Biñan Laguna created a leaf art dedicated to late Youtube stars Emman Nimedez and Lloyd Cadena. Mary May Dacanay uses a jackfruit leaf for her artwork.
The 23-year-old fan said she decided to pay tribute for the vloggers because they have brough happiness to lots of Filipinos. “Ginawa ko po ito para tribute sa kanila. Sobra ko silang hinahangaan dahil nagpapasaya sila sa mga vlog na ginagawa nila, at Malaki rin naitutulong nila sa ibang tao,” she said.
According to the report, Mary May Dacanay was among the million Filipinos who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She turned to making and selling leaf artworks to make ends meet. After gaining thousands of followers, Mary is now earning enough from commissioned work to sustain her family’s needs and pay their bills.
