What Happens to Youtube Channel When Content Creator Dies
Here are some steps that Google makes to the Youtube channel if one of its content creator dies, just like Lloyd and Emman.
Prominent Youtube vlogger Lloyd Café Cadena recently passed away at the age of 26. Lloyd died a few weeks after the death of Emman Nimedez, a famous content creator also on Youtube.
In our previous article, Lloyd died due to cardiac arrest, despite there were no reported medical health problems about the famous personality. The “legend” Emman Nimedez also died due to acute myeloid leukemia, cancer.
Meanwhile, netizens asked what will happen to their Youtube channel if they are now gone. On its Help Center page, Google said that it will check the creator’s Inactive Account Manager, based on the article of PUSH.
“[It] is the best way for you to let us know who should have access to your information, and whether you want your account to be deleted,” Google said.

However, Google said they could work with family members and content creator representatives if there were no plans made and no instructions were given to the Inactive Account Manager.
“We recognize that many people pass away without leaving clear instructions about how to manage their online accounts. We can work with immediate family members and representatives to close the account of a deceased person where appropriate. In certain circumstances we may provide content from a deceased user’s account,” Google said.
The tech giant also said that they will review the request that is being sent to them. Google also stated that there are three requests that can be made.
One is to close the account of a deceased user. Another is submitting a request for funds from a deceased user’s account. The third will be obtaining data from a deceased user’s account.
“In all of these cases, our primary responsibility is to keep people’s information secure, safe, and private. We cannot provide passwords or other login details. Any decision to satisfy a request about a deceased user will be made only after a careful review,” the company said.
