Those lined up here almost clung to each other for fear of being filled by other beneficiaries. According to those lined up, the remittance center only serves a limited number of people.

Every day only accommodates up to 90 beneficiaries. As a result, some SAP beneficiaries are going back and forth to the remittance center branch, like Maria Carmelita Nagat.

“Ok naman medyo nakakapuyat lang, tapos medyo kailangan ihanda mo rin ang sarili mo kasi marami kang pagdadaanan, ito nga lang pila eh,” Llesa said.

Nagat and Llesa are both happy and grateful because they will finally receive the cash aid. They added that more people are now receiving SAP from the government.

Meanwhile, lots of honest beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) have returned the cash assistance they have received from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
