Man Used P5000 SAP Cash Aid To Build Own Business Amid Pandemic
MARIO LUTANG – A man from Makati City was lauded after he used the P5000 SAP cash aid he got to build his own thriving business.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, millions of Filipinos have lost their jobs. As such, the Philippine government gave out cash-aid to beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program. Unfortunately, the cash-aid from SAP couldn’t be enough for the entirety of the quarantine.
However, people such as Mario Lutang made the best of the money they got from the program. Instead of buying essential goods straight away, Mario risked the cash aid he got and invested in a small business venture he called “Katas Ng Makatulong”.
With the cash aid he received from the government, he built a food cart that sold Filipino afternoon favorites such as tempura and fish ball. Because of his ventures, he got the attention of Makati Mayor Abby Binay and even got praise from her.
