Carmina Villarroel is extending this help to students
Actress-host Carmina Villarroel is giving away tablets to students that will be used for the online classes.
Due the COVID-19 pandemic, the education system in the Philippines has to do a major adjustment in order to ensure the safety of the students and the educators as well.
The Department of Education has seen that one of the remedies in this kind of crisis is conducting online classes. However, it is also a known fact that many students can’t afford to buy gadgets and acquire a stable internet connection.
In line with this, there had been several private sectors and individuals with kind hearts who extended help for less fortunate students in the country.
The recent popular personality who expressed a desire to help the students is Carmina Villarroel. In her recent Instagram post, the actress-host shared that she will be giving away free tablets. She said that 10 lucky winners will receive a tablet each.
Carmina will announce the winners on August 29, Friday via Facebook Live. “I’ll be announcing the winners in my FACEBOOK PAGE (so if you see your name, don’t forget to check your messages,” she wrote.
In order to join this promo, participants should follow these steps:
- Follow all the social media accounts of Carmina Villarroel
- Participants should write their city and school year level on the comment section of her “Cleaning Of The Ref” YouTube video.
However, this promo is just available within Metro Manila. “Let’s help and support each other as much as possible during these trying times,” Carmina encouraged her social media followers.
