Senator Bong Revilla responding well to treatments and medications.
BONG REVILLA – Here’s a health update of actor and senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. as he tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Last August 10, based on a previous article, Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus disease or the COVID-19. After having the test and before receiving the positive result, the politician assured that he did proper health protocols and safety measures such as being in isolation.
A video footage of the actor has emerged online asking prayers from the people for his fast recovery. Now, in an update, he is now accordingly responding well to treatments and medications. He is grateful to the people who prayed for the improvement of his health.
“Thank you dear God for guiding all health workers and giving them the strength to push on in these difficult times, and blessing them with your healing hands for them to in turn heal us. Salamat sa mga doktor at nurse na susi sa aking paggaling at paggaling ng marami nating mga kababayan. Thank you all. Thank you,” he said based on a report from PEP.
Revilla is the fourth senator to test positive for the virus. Senators who previously got infected were Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri and Senators Sonny Angara and Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel Jr., and all of them have recovered.
As per update, the update of total confirmed cases in the country has now reached 187,249 based on report from Department of Health (DOH). The latest number of new positive cases is at 4,933 as of August 22.
