Kisses Delavin Visits Cataingan Masbate After 6.6 Magnitude Earthquake
MASBATE EARTHQUAKE – Kapuso actress Kisses Delavin visited Cataingan, Masbate after the 6.6 magnitude earthquake.
Flooding, sinkhole, and landslide were reported after the 6.6 magnitude earthquake in Masbate province on Tuesday, August 18. Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) Renato Solidum said they recorded more than 270 aftershocks.
In a previous article, the Mayor of Cataingan, Felipe Cabataña, said their town has no more funds to help the earthquake victims. He appealed to the national government for funds.
Cabataña also asked for tent donations to provide temporary shelters for the residents. He said the evacuees might ignore physical distancing because their center only have limited space.
“’Yun na nga yung problema. Sa evacuation center, hindi na masyadong ma-observe ‘yung social distancing kasi maliit ‘yung lugar. Ang evacuation center maraming tao,” he said.

Hours after the strong quake in Masbate, Kapuso star Kisses Delavin visited the evacuation site in Cataingan. She was born and raised in Masbate. The 21-year-old actress was also crowned as Miss Masbate and Miss Kaogma in 2016.
Several netizens uploaded some snaps taken during her visit. A fan said “Kisses Delavin together with her parents, visited an evacuation center at Cataingan,Masbate to help their fellow Masbateños who have been affected by the earthquake. She has always been a silent worker and for that, I’m so proud to be one of her supporters.”
Kisses Delavin’s management, Triple A, also posted her pictures on its Facebook Page. The post has garnered 2.7K reactions, 152 comments, and 450 shares as of this writing.
