Chuckie Dreyfus, Nadia Montenegro, and Aster Amoyo announces to stop helping John Regala despite condition due to this reason.
JOHN REGALA – Famous personalities Chuckie Dreyfus, Nadia Montenegro, and Aster Amoyo announces to stop crowd-funding efforts for John Regala.
Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo, former President Joseph Estrada, singer Rez Cortez, Senator Bong Revilla Jr., Vic. Sotto, Nadia Montenegro, Chuckie Dreyfus, Manay Aster Amoyo, and Dranreb Belleza are just some of the famous personalities who were able to extend help to John Regala.
The actor is suffering from liver cirrhosis and esophageal varices. Previously, he was confined at National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) in Quezon City due to his liver not functioning well and his creatinine levels is not in good state. Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño also helped him.
However, in a joint statement of Chuckie, Nadia, and Aster, they have accordingly decided to stop helping him and their crowd-funding efforts for his health needs. It stated, “Sadly, no amount of effort on our part can help a very uncooperative and difficult individual. In addition, John’s terrible habit of constant and abusive self-medication is something we cannot condone nor tolerate.”
With that, they are also closing their crowdfunding page to which all the remaining funds will be given to him and to the person who will ever keep him for his treatment and medical needs. They will also provide the detailed accounting of donations and breakdown of expenses.
