23-year-old singer Rhap Salazar opens up about relationship and coming out story.
RHAP SALAZAR – After coming out and sharing sweet photo with partner. Rhap Salazar opened up about him and his coming out story.
Erwin Laroya is the name of the partner of singer Rhap Salazar who he introduced to public last Valentine’s Day. He is 23 years old while his partner is 30 years old. He works abroad as hotel staff member of Park Hyatt Hotel in Doha, Qatar.
They have been in a long distance relationship but he is now in the country with him. Both of them focus on their online food business and video blogging. Recalling on the day he came out to public, his partner wasn’t here that time and he just missed him, thus, he posted their photo.
“I am truly happy with my relationship with Erwin,” the singer said and despite all the critics around, he is happy with all the messages of love and support he received after he posted that.
Before coming out, he sis already aware of all the comments of many people about his sexual orientation. It all started when he was young and often times, he would get offended. He just kept quiet and went on with his life. He accepted himself and those insults turned his strength to finally come out.
Nobody pushed him to come out but the freeing thought of finally becoming to be his true self made him reveal what he really is. He shared based on a report from PEP, “Last year, I decided to come out to my family which was very challenging yet soul-satisfying.”
