Man In Sampaloc Arrested After Stealing His Uncle’s Bicycle
MAN IN SAMPALOC – A man in Sampaloc was arrested after he was caught red-handed by CCTV for stealing his uncle’s bike.
According to GMA News’ Balitambayan, a CCTV footage showed that the suspect entered a house and came out with a bicycle.
The residents of the said house rushed out after hearing the sound of the gate creaking.
Another CCTV footage shows that the suspect parked the bicycle on the sidewalk and ran to the opposite side.
When the owners approached where the suspect is, the latter approached and pretended to helpp them search for the said bicycle.
Kagawad Ariel Policarpio of Barangay 500 in the said district reported that the suspect even suggested to check the CCTV footage to apprehend the suspect, which resulted in his asrrest.
Based on the report, the suspect, identified as Andreo Joaquin Gonzales, aged 18, said that he did not mean to steal the bicycle owned by his uncle. He further claimed that he meant to borrow the bicycle for fetching his face shields.
“Hindi po ako nagpaalam,”
“Nahihiya po ako. Baka hindi ako pahiramin.”
The bicycle, which has a value of P10,000 was eventually returned to the owner. Gonzales, on the other hand, he will face charges for theft.
