Escaped Ostrich In Quezon Cooked As Adobo Says Owner

ESCAPED OSTRICH – The ostrich that escaped and made headline recently was reported to be cooked as adobo after it died of stress.

On August 4, the ostrich made headlines as it ran around Mapayapa Village 3 in Quezon City. Following this, several animals were also spotted running amok as netizens felt like they were in a game of Jumanji.

However, one of the most influential figures in 2020 sadly died this week. According to reports, one of the two ostriches that escaped died because of stress. Afterward, officials searched for evidence of where the ostrich was buried and whether or not it indeed died.

But, according to an article from Esquire Mag PH, the owner of the ostrich came forward and admitted that the animal wasn’t buried. Instead, the ostrich was said to be butchered and cooked as adobo.

Furthermore, the surviving ostrich was turned over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Currently, the animal is recovering in the rescue center of the Biodiversity Management Bureau.

As 2020 goes into its 8th month under lockdown, animals have been seen going out of their natural habitats. Recently, a monitor lizard was spotted wandering a private village in Davao City.

Along with this, a peacock was spotted in Alabang Hills after several animals have been found loitering in public places.
