GMA reporter Joseph Morong went trending in Twitter during the 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte yesterday, July 27, 2020.
Yesterday, the 5th SONA of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was held at Batasang Pambansa. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that is affecting the Philippines and more than 200 other nations and territories now, a lot of changes took place.
Usually, the SONA is attended by most politicians in the country together with their spouses. Everyone really prepares for the event most especially with regards to the outfit.
During the Duterte SONA 2020, the attendees were limited as big gatherings are prohibited amid the fight against COVID-19. Also, coronavirus testings were done prior to it.
Several people tested positive for COVID-19 including House Deputy Speaker Johnny Pimentel. Even Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s swab samples were taken before the national event.

Chambers were prepared to divide the people that attended the Duterte SONA 2020 at Batasang Pambansa yesterday. The President also spoke in a separate chamber.
