Asian Hospital and Medical Center ER in Full Capacity Now

Asian Hospital and Medical Center declared that its Emergency Room (ER) has already reached its full capacity.

The healthcare system in the Philippines is currently facing a huge challenge – the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, several hospitals have declared full capacity due to coronavirus cases.

The two (2) hospitals of St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City and in Bonifacio Global City have reached its full capacity. Also, the Philippine General Hospital announced that it cannot anymore cater severe cases of coronavirus.

In the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 74,390 cases of COVID-19 as of this writing. Out of the said total number, 24,383 patients have already recovered while 1,871 died during the battle against the disease.

Currently, community quarantine measures are still up in PH. There are still new cases of the disease recorded daily and the wearing of face mask and social distancing have become a protocol.

Recently, another hospital has declared full Emergency Room (ER) capacity although it did not specify the cases that cause it. Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa is advising the patients to seek medical care from other institutions in the meantime.

The management of Asian Hospital clarified that they wanted to accommodate all patients but they don’t want the quality of the service they provide to be compromised.

Despite the Asian Hospital and Medical Center’s ER being in full capacity now, the management assured to continue admitting emergency cases. It also assured to constantly post updates about the hospital capacity’s status.
