Manila Eyes COVID-19 Drive-Through Testing At Quirino Days After Launching Its First
COVID-19 TESTING CENTER – Merely days after opening its first drive-through testing center, Manila now aims to put up another one in Quirino Grandstand.
According to Manila’s Public Information Office, the local government, the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) already green-lit the project. With this, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno stated that they would design lanes for vehicles at the Quirino Grandstand.

According to a report from Inquirer, much of the requirements for the testings remain the same. Only individuals arriving on vehicles could avail of the free service. These vehicles could be:
- cars
- tricycles
- pedicabs
- motorcycles
- non-motorized vehicles (including bicycles)
As per the article, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno stated:
Itong grandstand, kaya nating mag-test ng 700 sa drive-thru. Mapaghihiwalay din natin ang apat na gulong, tatlong gulong, dalawang gulong, motorized at non-motorized
The first covid-19 drive-through testing center could be located in Andres Bonifacio Monument in Lawton. Furthermore, the free COVID-19 testing could be availed by any resident of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the testing facility begins its operation from 8:00 A.M., until 5:00 P.M. However, authorities reported that the lines for the tests are quite long with the earliest to line up for the service at around 1:00 A.M.
