Ogie Alcasid’s Prayer For ABS-CBN Workers

OGIE ALCASID – Singer-actor Ogie Alcasid took to social media share his prayer for ABS-CBN workers.

ABS-CBN recently shut down after the majority of the legislators voted for its franchise application to be junked. On July 15, the media network’s bosses hold a town meeting to discuss matters after the lawmakers denied its franchise.

They said they are laying off workers starting August 31. The company will give their separation pay and retirement benefits. They will also offer programs that will help them find new work.

In a previous article, radio star DJ Chacha announced the closure of ABS-CBN’s FM station MOR 101.9 on her Instagram account. She also shared her sympathies with fellow Kapamilya employees. She said, “Sending hugs to all the Kapamilya who are also experiencing the same pain that I’m going through now.”

On Wednesday, July 15, veteran singer Ogie Alcasid took to his Instagram account to share his prayer for the ABS-CBN employees who will lose their jobs. He also prayed for those how lost their jobs because of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Abba Father, please take care of those who will lose their jobs and even those not involved with our company that have lost their jobs too…”

“Times are really difficult. We humbly bow down before you and repent for what we may have done to offend your holy name. We ask for forgiveness and ask for your mercy and grace for all of us that are having a difficult time. We hold on to your promise that you shall heal our land from all these and take care of each one of us. In Jesus’s name we pray. Amen,” he added.
