Netizen Accuses Kapuso Actress Jennylyn Mercado Of Being An ABS-CBN Stockholder
JENNYLYN MERCADO – A netizen accused GMA-7 actress Jennylyn Mercado of being an ABS-CBN stockholder.
Last May, Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado defended the ABS-CBN against trolls and bashers. She told her followers to respect the opinion of other people.
Previously, a netizen advised her to stay neutral or silent on the junked franchise application of the media giant since she’s not part of the tv network. Jennylyn replied to the netizen, she said, “But I am a Filipino and that alone is enough. To be neutral or silent in times of injustice is injustice.”
Earlier, Jennylyn Mercado lashed out the netizen who rejoice over the “killed” franchise bid of ABS-CBN. The House panel junked the media network’s franchise renewal bid after 70 legislators voted for the shutdown of the Kapamilya network.
“Sa mga lumuha at nawalan, our prayers and hearts are with you. Sa mga taong tuwang tuwa sa mga pangyayari, huwag niyo sana danasin ang lumuha din at mawalan…”
“Hindi ba na tinuruan tayo ng ating mga magulang na maging makatao sa kapwa? Rejoicing because of other people’s sorrow is not only wrong, but inhumane. You are cruel,” she said in a Facebook post.
A Facebook user named Aaron Carl accused Jennylyn Mercado that she’s affected by the ABS-CBN network’s current situation because she’s a stockholder of the media company. The actress shared the screenshot of his comment on her Twitter account on Wednesday.
In a separate Tweet, the prominent actress shared that in her 17 years as a Kapuso talent, she learned how to stand up for what she believes in.
