ABS-CBN Host Korina Sanchez Reminisces Over Her 30-Year Career
KORINA SANCHEZ – ‘Rated K‘ host Korina Sanchez reminisced her early days working at the ABS-CBN network.
Lots of people are hoping that the tv network will be given a new franchise. After 12 hearings, the committee of the House of Representatives handed its decision on the fate of the company. However, the House panel denied the franchise bid of the tv network.
Veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez is one of the celebrities who are vocal in defending the Kapamilya network. She’s with the company for more than 30 years now.
On July 11, she reminisced her early days working at the Kapamilya network in a lengthy Instagram post. This comes after the media company’s franchise renewal application was denied.

Korina Sanchez shared a photo of her with her plaque of recognition and shared ABS-CBN was her first job. She also recollected a few moments in history.
“ABS-CBN. Practically my first job even before graduating college. It is my honor to have been in the very first show that went back on-air that day, after its franchise was returned to the Lopezes in 1987…”
“Watch Us Do It Again” was our tagline. And ABS-CBN did. And more. And how. And this was after the network had to shut down after the declaration of Martial Law, after owner Geny Lopez was jailed and escaped to the US to fight another day, after freedom of the press was ki*led and then resurrected after more than 20 years.”
The 55-year-old broadcaster said that she believes Kapamilya network will return on-air. She also stated that she’s excited about what may happen next.
