Vice Ganda Sad Over Closure of Comedy Bars Including Allan K’s Zirkoh & Klownz
VICE GANDA – The Showtime host revealed his side on the closure of comedy bars including the businesses of Eat Bulaga! host Allan K.
A lot of businesses were greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. For several weeks under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), many firms temporarily stopped their operation.
When the quarantine measures were eased, not all businesses can be back to full operation. Also, protocols must be observed as the threat of COVID-19 is still present and there are still new cases every day.
However, despite the easing of the quarantine measures, several businesses closed due to losses. Many employers declared bankruptcy as they cannot anymore cope with the expenses amid having no income.
Among the businesses that closed are comedy bars. Eat Bulaga! host Allan K’s comedy bars, the Klownz and Zirkoh, will be closed. The Kapuso TV host decided to declare bankruptcy.
Recently, in a segment of It’s Showtime, comedian Vice Ganda revealed his side on the closure of the comedy bars now amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He even mentioned Allan K’s Zirkoh and Klownz.
According to Vice Ganda, he is really sad about the closure of the comedy bars now as they have no choice due to the situation now. He cited Allan K’s comedy bars and as well as Punchline and Laffline as among those that already closed due to the pandemic.
“Alam mo talaga nakakalungkot sa sitwasyon ngayon, walang choice ang mga comedy bar kung hindi magsara… Ang daming komedyante ang nawalan ng trabaho,” he said based on a video posted by ABS-CBN.
Vice stressed that he cannot imagine comedy bars vanishing from society. He is hopeful that things will get better soon.
