BUKNOY GLAMURR – Controversial vlogger Buknoy Glamurrr comment about tricycle drivers earns reaction from KaladKaren and Gretchen Ho.
“Ang gusto ko talagang sabihin sa inyo is wag kayong sumuko na mangarap. Wag na wag kayong sumuko na tuparin ang mga pangarap ninyo kasi kung hindi kayo magsu-sumikap sa buhay, walang-wala kayong mararating tulad nito.”
This has been the exact statement of vlogger Buknoy Glamurrr or Andrew Luis Lapid in real life. It has caused online outrage as it was a clear insult to our hard-working tricycle drivers. Also, netizens stressed that that kind of mindset is toxic. This type of thinking should be stopped. Big or small, there’s a difference only one person can make. A CEO or a tricycle driver, both are just working hard to make a living.
With this, famous host KaladKaren reacted to the issues of this so-called influencer stressing for many times for the young vlogger to Google and study first. Gretchen Ho, also a Kapamilya host, re-tweeted the post from KaladKaren.
Many netizens gave some lecture to the controversial vlogger saying that drivers are just victims of circumstances and this doesn’t mean that they don’t have big enough dreams for themselves. These drivers work hard to provide and are dreaming more for their children than for themselves, that’s why.
One cannot just degrade or discredit other people’s job. Everyone has a role to play and every role is essential.
