However, starting January 1, the issuance of the LTO Student Driver Permit will temporarily be suspended. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it was announced by no other than LTO Chief Edgar Galvante.

The suspension of the issuance of the LTO Student Driver Permit is due to the changes in the application that is set to take place by August. Based on the report, Galvante said that starting August the applicant must go through a 15-hour theoretical session.

The LTO Chief expressed that many people who obtained the driving permit don’t really know or understand the rules and regulations in driving. The theoretical session requirement will start by August 3.

  1. With regards to your new program for the Newbies or Applicants for Student Driver’s License, my questions are as follows:
    1. Is your 15-Hour Theoretical Session being offered for Free ?
    2. Your 15-Hour Session, how many days would that be ?
    3. Should that 15-Hour Program be pushed, can that be held on Saturdays and Sundays instead … most of those would-be Applicants likely are Working Buddies;
    4. Should the Program be pushed, are you accepting Advance Reservations in your Program ?
    5. Again on your 15-Hour Program, Kindly Notify Us Immediately So I Can Have My Three Children
    Enroll The Soonest Time Possible … With The Best Yet Being Offered By The LTO.

    More Power and God Bless Us All.

    Respectfully yours,

    Signed
