Richard Gomez has this reaction to the social media war of Sharon Cuneta
Megastar Sharon Cuneta, these past few days, has been fighting for her and her family against social media bashers and this received a reaction from Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez.
Sharon and Richard have worked together on several TV and movie projects in the past. Their on-screen partnership is one of the well-loved tandems in the Philippine entertainment industry. In 2018, they worked together in the movie Three Words To Forever under Star Cinema.
However, a previous post of the Megastar garnered speculations that it was her “patama” against Goma. They both admitted that they were more than just friends and onscreen partners in the past but their statement regarding how long they were together varied from each other.
Just recently, the name of Sharon Cuneta made a loud buzz online as she fervently defended her children and husband against bashers. In one of her recent posts, she said that she is willing to fight for her family even though the one criticizing them was once a friend of her.

In line with this, Richard Gomez was asked to react during a recent Facebook Live chat with Ogie Diaz. The actor-politician said that showbiz personalities should remember bashings are inevitable.
“’Yun ang problema kasi sa social media, anybody can just post anything. Pag-post ng opinyon nila, post ng galit nila. Siguro tayong mga artista, we have to accept the fact na mayroong may gusto sa atin mayroong ayaw, so minsan masakit at napupuno ka na, kahit naman ako sumasagot ako sa mga ganyan,” he said.
He added that celebrities like him are also human beings who also feel hurt when being bashed. Richard also admitted that at times, he also gets pissed off but he would just delete the mean comment or block the basher.
When it comes to Sharon Cuneta’s plan to file a case against former reporter Ronald Carballo, the Ormoc City Mayor said, “that is her right kung ano ang gusto niyang ikaso. Pero parang nakita kong humingi na yata siya ng paumanhin, well it’s her right (ituloy ang demanda).”
