NBI Begins Probe On Basher Who Disrespects Sharon Cuneta’s Daughter Frankie Pangilinan
FRANKIE PANGILINAN – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said it was investigating the “rape” threat against Sharon Cuneta’s daughter Frankie Pangilinan.
The daughter of Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Frankie Pangilinan, caught the attention of the online community after giving her opinion in the “rape” culture and victim shaming in the country. He statements elicited a reaction from veteran broadcaster Ben Tulfo.
A netizen named Sonny Alcos or Sonny posted a malicious comment online. He wrote, “Pasalamat ka iha, kung ang edad ko 12 yrs. Magtago ka na sa tatay mong Senador Kiko Matsing Pangilinan dahil hahanapin kita para gahasain. Tapos sisihin mo tatay mo. Dahil hindi ako makukulong.”
Sharon Cuneta announced on her social media account that she will search for him and sue him for disrespecting her daughter. In a previous article, a source close to the basher said a hacker allegedly made the ‘vicious’ statement on Alcos’ Facebook account.

Based on a report from Inquirer, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Cybercrime Division chief Victor Lorenzo on Monday said NBI OIC Eric Distor has given them a directive to investigate the issue. He said, “may directive sa amin si OIC ng NBI (Eric Distor) para tingnan ‘yung issue.”
“So far inumpisahan pa lang namin, tinitingnan namin yung kung saan kami mag-uumpisa, ano magiging lead,” he added.
According to the report, Lorenzo said the basher who threatened to “rape” Frankie Pangilinan can be accused of unjust vexation. The crime is in relation to Cyber Prevention Act and is punishable by up to 12 years in jail.
“Pwede ‘yan sa light threat, at the same time, puwede ‘yan sa unjust vexation in relation to Cybercrime Prevention Act…”
“Under the revised penal code, mababa lang ang penalty ng light threat at sa unjust vexation pero ‘pag in relation to Cybercrime Prevention Act, one degree higher ‘yun, mas mabigat yung term, six years and one day to 12 years,” he added.
Based on the report, Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said Sharon Cuneta has already identified the netizen, his address, name, and his employer’s address.
