Low-Pressure Area to Bring Rains Over Parts of The Country, PAGASA Says
LATEST WEATHER UPDATES – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area would bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (June 20, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area and the Intertropical Convergence Zone would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area was spotted at 60 kilometers west of Ambulong, Batangas. The LPA is also embedded with an Intertropical Convergence Zone that would affect Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The low-pressure area would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, La Union and Pangasinan.
The ITCZ would bring cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM and SOCCSKSARGEN. The localized thunderstorms is also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers.
The weather agency also warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides in the affected area during moderate to heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the entire Luzon would be slight to moderate. The surrounding sea conditions over the Visayas and Mindanao would be slight, according to the weather bureau.
