Update on Brazil COVID-19 Cases Now Amid Global Pandemic

BRAZIL – The country recorded over 49,000 new cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 in just 24 hours according to the global tally.

The world is currently fighting a pandemic – the spread of the COVID-19. This disease has infected people from over 200 countries and territories across the globe.

This coronavirus disease was first recorded in China last December 2019. Over 82,000 people in the country were infected and Wuhan City is its epicenter.

Wuhan was locked for more than two (2) months. However, beginning January 2020, several other countries recorded cases of the disease.

Globally, there is now a total of 8,735,640 cases of coronavirus according to Worldometer. Based on the tally, out of the total number, 461,516 people died of the disease. The current total recoveries is 4,616,271.

One of the countries that record high cases of COVID-19 daily is Brazil. Based on the tally, the South and Latin American country recently recorded 49,554 new cases of coronavirus

The recent addition brings the total to 1,032,913 cases of COVID-19. With regards to the deaths and recoveries, based on the tally, Brazil got 48,954 COVID-19 deaths and 520,360 recoveries.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is going to be a long-term battle against COVID-19. This coronavirus may have a 2nd and even 3rd wave if the people would be complacent. To curb the spread of the virus, community quarantines are implemented and everyone is encouraged to wear a face mask.
