Iloilo Municipal Employees Undergo COVID-19 Rapid Testing
ILOILO MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES – Four (4) workers in the municipal hall in Lemery, Iloilo tested positive in COVID-19 rapid testing.
Iloilo is one of the provinces with confirmed cases of COVID-19. This coronavirus disease is a pandemic now that has affected over 200 countries and territories across the globe.
In the Philippines, there is now a total of 24,787 cases of coronavirus recorded in the country. The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 5,454 recoveries and 1,052 deaths.

Undeniably, this pandemic has affected almost everything. For several weeks, religious masses and services were cancelled, the school opening which is supposed to be in June is also suspended, and the public transportation are on a reduced capacity.
Despite the easing of the quarantine measures putting the high-risk areas under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and the low and medium risk areas under a Modified GCQ, everyone is still advised to stay at home if not for essential purposes.
Also, the new normal now includes the wearing of face mask when going outdoors. Social distancing must also be practiced everywhere to curb the spread of the disease.
Employees now are back to reporting to work. Rapid testings are conducted to ensure the safety of the workers.
Recently, four (4) Iloilo municipal employees tested positive in COVID-19 rapid testing. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the said employees are working in the municipal hall in the town of Lemery.
They are set to undergo the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test or the RT-PCR test. Based on the report, a contact tracing is now ongoing following the test results of the four (4) employees.
Two (2) of the Iloilo municipal hall employees are permanent employees in the municipal hall and are assigned to the office. The other two (2) are a utility personnel and a driver.
