Liza Soberano Experiences Anxiety Attacks Amid Pandemic
LIZA SOBERANO – Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano revealed that she experienced anxiety attacks during the quarantine.
ABS-CBN actress and model Liza Soberano is considered as one of the sought after actresses of her generation. In a previous article, she revealed the reason why she decided to enter the show business at a very young age.
The ‘Forevermore’ actress said she wanted to complete all her siblings under one roof and to help her father. “Ever since I was young, I always enjoyed having a lot of siblings. I knew that I always wanted us to be all together or to be complete,” she said.
Recently, Liza Soberano’s manager Ogie Diaz, announced that her latest tv series “Make It With You” was canceled. Director Theodore Boborol explained why their show won’t return on air on the Kapamilya Channel.
“ABS-CBN was already badly hit by the pandemic, and then suffered a double blow when its renewal was not granted. Decisions had to be made and we respect and understand why it ought to be done,” he said.
On June 7, Asian Boss released their interview with Liza Soberano. The prominent actress shared her honest thoughts on social issues in the Philippines.
During the interview, the 22-year-old actress also revealed that she has been suffering from anxiety attacks recently. She said her feeling of “hopelessness” triggered it.
“I’ve been getting a lot of anxiety attacks lately because we are just at home, we’re isolated, we don’t get to see a lot of people all the time and talk to different people which I’m used to on a daily basis because I’m an actress and I worked with a lot of different people all the time. I mean there’s a feeling of hopelessness sometimes because there’s so much going on in the world but you can’t really do anything…”
“I was having anxiety attacks because like I said there’s a sense of hopelessness going around because of COVID, the pandemic, and a lot of the trials that we are facing here in the Philippines. Like with the whole ABS-CBN issue I felt like I wasn’t doing enough or there wasn’t enough that I could possibly do because I am not physically there. It’s different if you are physically there to show your support,” she said.
Liza Soberano also revealed how she cope up with her anxiety. She also gave advice to the people who experience the same thing.
“I like to read books, I like to go online and just talk to my friends or play games with them. I like to cook because it’s like the time I have to myself to just really think about life because you just get to focus on the food while chopping or while stirring. Your thought is just all to yourself.”
“Keep yourself busy. Try to find something new to do. When you try to learn a new talent, technique or skill it really helps in whatever you are thinking about in that moment because you really have to focus on learning so that helps coping with anxiety and boredom,” Liza said.
