Update on the New COVID-19 Cases Recorded in the Different Countries
NEW COVID-19 CASES – More than 100,000 new cases of coronavirus were recorded across the globe in just one (1) day.
The world now is fighting against an invisible enemy – the COVID-19 or the coronavirus. Way back in December 2019, China recorded cases of a “mysterious disease” infecting the people in Wuhan City, Hubei province.
The infection became an outbreak and authorities locked Wuhan for more than two (2) months. Over 82,000 people in China were infected and at least 4,000 died of the disease.
Starting January 2020, several other countries confirmed their first cases of COVID-19. It has alarmed the authorities with how fast the disease can infect another person. However, little was known about the said coronavirus then.
The COVID-19 is known to bear flu-like symptoms which may include fever, cough, and breathing difficulties. But, a person may also be positive for the disease even without showing any signs at all – or asymptomatic.
The elders are known to be more prone to contracting this coronavirus and as well as those with pre-existing medical conditions. However, several cases also proved that it can infect the young ones, those who have no existing health conditions, and those who are really healthy.
Currently, over 200 countries and territories got confirmed cases of coronavirus. The United States is the country that recorded the most cases – 1,880,181 cases as of this writing according to Worldometer.
Recently, based on the world tally, over 100,000 new COVID-19 cases were recorded across the globe. Specifically, 109,533 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the different countries and territories.
The total cases of coronavirus recorded across the globe now is at 6,472,729. Out of the total number, 381,699 people died of the disease while 2,985,928 patients have recovered.
