PAGASA – Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) To Affect Palawan And Mindanao This June 2, 2020
PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this June 2, 2020.
The latest weather update from the state bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ will affect Palawan and Mindanao on this day.
According to GMA News, the bureau recently monitored a Low Pressure Area (LPA) that was last spotted at about 7870 kilometers east of Casiguran town in Aurora.
The ITCZ will bring cloudy with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Palawan.
The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur during severe thunderstorms.
The ITCZ will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao. The bureau still warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Like the rest, flash floods or landslides will occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
Based on the report, for the forecast wind speed, Palawan and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to various directions with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of the country will also have light to moderate winds but are moving in the southeast to south direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun has risen at 5:26 AM and is expected to set at about 6:22 PM.
