It has been recalled yesterday that the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) made an advisory reminding local airlines that the Inter-Agency Task Force haven’t approved local air travel routes for this week despite the gradual ease of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) quarantine protocols.

Hence, the CAB advised airlines to cancel their flights for yesterday, leading to the conclusion that domestic air travel is likely to be suspended for this week.

This was followed after local airlines such as Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia Philippines said that they will resume operations on Saturday.

Recently, a breaking news from the official Twitter account of DZBB Super Radyo said that Department of Transportation Arthur Tugade announced that the IATF approved domestic commercial aviation between areas under GCQ.

Tugade added that it is now up to local government units to approve local air travels.
