Update on Philippine Coronavirus Cases As Posted By DOH

PHILIPPINE CORONAVIRUS CASES – The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 539 new COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.

The fight against COVID-19 continues in the Philippines. The authorities are reminding everyone not to be complacent as it is not yet over. Protocols must still be adhered to.

The whole country is still on a community quarantine. Metro Manila, Cebu, and Laguna province are among those under a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) now.

Most parts of the country are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ). It will be downgraded to Modified GCQ beginning June 1.

Everyone must wear mask when going outdoors. Also, social distancing must be observed at all times even in public vehicles and other mode of transportation.

Daily, the Department of Health is releasing an update regarding the new COVID-19 cases in the country. The body also reports about deaths and recoveries due to the disease.

In the latest update of the DOH yesteday, May 28, the health department reported that the Philippine coronavirus cases rose by 539. There is now a total of 15,588 cases of the disease recorded in the country.

Out of the 15,588 coronaviruse cases, 11,069 of it are active cases. There are 17 new deaths recorded bringing the death toll to 921. According to DOH, there are 92 new recoveries bringing the total recoveries to 3,598 now.
