Karla Estrada has this revelation about Daniel Padilla
Magandang Buhay host Karla Estrada revealed that her son actor-recording artist Daniel Padilla was rejected by GMA 7 in the past.
Daniel is now considered as one of the biggest stars in his generation. He is also popularly known for her KathNiel loveteam with girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo. They both started at a young age in the industry and together as onscreen partners they were able to make several hit TV series and movies.
On the other hand, just like most of the famous stars now, Daniel also experienced being refused in the past. Based on the article from the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Daniel’s mother revealed the story about this way back years ago.
This story was recalled when director Adolf Alix Jr. was asked about Daniel’s upcoming Actors’ Cue project. “We’ll ask Daniel po about his preparations for a role and yung tungkol sa mga anecdotes niya from his previous films,” the director said in his message through Messenger.
According to entertainment columnist Jerry Olea, they related the story that Karla Estrada told them back on June 20, 2009. That was Saturday afternoon at the Heritage Memorial Park sa Taguig City, as Olea recalled.
That day was the cremation of the remains of the late Douglas Quijano aka Tito Dougs who managed Daniel Padilla.
Karla revealed that Tito Dougs first approached GMA 7 for the career of her son who was still young at that time. However, it was said that the Kapuso network refused to accept Daniel, based on the article.
That is why Tito Dougs went to ABS-CBN because the late showbiz personality believed in the potential of Karla’s son and the rest was history., as they say.
