PAGASA – Ambo Approaches North Quezon-Laguna Area

PAGASA – Ambo Heads North Quezon-Laguna Area, 9 Areas Under TCWS

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA said that Typhoon Ambo is heading towards northern Quezon-Laguna area while 9 areas are under TCWS No. 3.

The bureau added that Ambo is bringing destructive winds and heavy to intense rainfall over the north part of Bondoc Peninsula in Southern Quezon.

According to GMA News, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal was raised over the following areas:

As per the report, Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Marinduque, Laguna, Rizal, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino might experience moderate to heavy with occasional intense rains.

It is expected on Saturday that Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Nueva Ecija might face moderate to heavy with occasional heavy rains.

Ambo was last seen at in the vicinity of Catanauan town, Quezon as of 10 AM.

Residents in the said areas are urged to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk management offices, and stay updated for more advisories.

The bureau also warned of floods and rain-induced landslides that might occur, especially in highly to very highly susceptible during heavy or prolonged rainfall.

For areas under TCWS, sea travel is still risky for all types of seacrafts.
