PAGASA – Tropical Storm Ambo Might Intensify Into Typhoon

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that Tropical Storm Ambo might intensify into a typhoon by Friday.

The bureau said that the weather disturbance is predicted to cross the municipality of Ocampo, Camarines Sur.

According to GMA News, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that the tropical storm will possibly become a typhoon.

“Pagdating ng Friday morning, itong sentro ng bagyong Ambo nasa vicinity na po ng Ocampo, Camarines Sur,”

“Inaasahan po natin na lalakas ang bagyo at posible pong maging typhoon ang bagyong Ambo,”

Furthermore, Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 was raised over Northern Samar, the northern portion of Samar and Eastern Samar.

As per the report, as of 10 AM, the weather disturbance was last spotted at around 360 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.

It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gusts of about 105 kilometers per hour. It is moving north northwest at about 15 kilometers per hour.
