Bea Alonzo Give Relief Goods To Jeepney Drivers in Metro Manila
BEA ALONZO – ABS-CBN actress Bea Alonzo gave relief goods to the jeepney drivers in Metro Manila.
Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo is among the celebrities who have shown support to the COVID-19 frontliners and families affected by the crisis. On Easter Sunday, she cooked pasta for the health workers.
The prominent actress also prepared Bagoong rice for the National Institute of Health of the University of the Philippines workers. Her generosity towards the country’s heroes was praised by the netizens.
In a previous article, Bea Alonzo announced that her fundraiser I AM HOPE has raised P6 million in 30 days. She launched the said charity drive to provide protective gear for COVID-19 frontliners and to provide the needs of the low-income families.
“Your Generosity has made it possible for @iamhope_org to Raise P6,036,000 Million covering the period of March 26 – April 26,” Bea said.
Recently, Bea Alonzo decided to donate relief goods to the jeepney drivers amid the coronavirus crisis. Due to the “enhanced community quarantine,” jeepney drivers are forced to stop operating.
The 32-year-old actress shared that while she was grieving for the loss of a relative, she saw on tv that jeepney drivers were now begging on the streets. “I recently lost a very close relative, hindi madali, mabigat sa dibdib,” she said.
“Minsan kapag mabigat ang loob mo at pakiramdam mo, pinagsakluban ka ng mundo, may magpapaalala sayo na may pwede kang gawin para may magbago,” Bea wrote.
Bea Alonzo also expressed her gratitude to her colleagues at the “I AM HOPE” foundation for helping her with her relief drive. The ‘Unbreakable‘ actress also thanked ABS-CBN in her IG post.
