Watch Bea Alonzo’s Emotional Spoken Word Poetry For ABS-CBN After Shutdown
BEA ALONZO – The spoken word poetry of actress Bea Alonzo for ABS-CBN after shutdown elicited reactions from her fellow celebrities.
The largest tv network in the Philippines, ABS-CBN closed down after the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) issued a cease and desist order. The media network that has 11,000 workers allegedly violated the agency’s rules.
On Wednesday, May 6, ABS-CBN loyal viewers and celebrities took to social media to express their rage and disappointment about the company’s closure. Some of them even destroyed their televisions.
Coco Martin, Judy Ann Santos, and Angel Locsin are among the celebrities who bare their anger over the government’s decision to close down the tv network amid the coronavirus pandemic. They said this is not the right time to make 11K workers jobless.
In a previous article, film producer Neil Arce shared a photo of his fiance Angel after the tv network went off the air. He said in the caption that his soon-to-be-wife has been crying nonstop over the company’s shutdown.
Recently, actress Bea Alonzo released emotional spoken-word poetry to pay tribute to her home for the past 2 decades. Her spoken word poetry was uploaded on her Instagram account.
The 32-year-old celebrity shared how the Kapamilya network molded her into a star that she is today. She also expressed her gratitude to the company for helping her achieve her dreams.
In the caption of the post, she wrote: “Naisipan kong sumulat kagabi. Para sa dalawang dekada.”
