Manila Bay Looks Even More Beautiful As Pollution Reduces Due To Quarantine

MANILA BAY – The country’s major center of economic activity, Manila Bay looks even more beautiful as pollution reduces due to ECQ.

Last year, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte ordered the rehabilitation of the Manila Bay. the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) led the cleanup drive.

The government and private sectors also help cleaning up garbage wastes. The before and after photos surprised the online community.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lesser cars and people roaming the city streets. Metro Manila has been on “enhanced community quarantine” for almost 2 months now.

While the coronavirus forced people to stay in their homes, nature bounces back. In a previous article, photos of the rare sight of Sierra Madre amid ECQ went viral on social media.

It can be seen in the photos that the country’s major center of economic activity looks even more picturesque as pollution reduces due to the ECQ. The photos just show that COVID-19 had a huge impact on the environment. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is expected to decide on the fate of ECQ on Monday, May 11.
