Youngest Filipino COVID-19 Patient in UAE Recovers After 3-Week Treatment

YOUNGEST FILIPINO COVID-19 PATIENT – The youngest patient of coronavirus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) won the battle against the disease.

More than 200 countries across the globe got cases of COVID-19. This coronavirus was first recorded in China last December 2019.

Currently, the COVID-19 is already a pandemic, its impact is far beyond what was expected of it. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it may take a long time for the countries to recover from the pandemic.

It is known that the senior citizens are more at risk for coronavirus. However, this disease exempts no one. It can infect young individuals with no existing conditions.

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a one-year and six (6) months old baby tested positive for coronavirus. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the young Filipino COVID-19 patient in Abu Dhabi was treated for three (3) weeks.

According Abu Dhabi Health Services Company SEHA, the baby was tested seven (7) times for the disease and he tested positive. He was isolated in the isolation room with his mother who exhibited mild symptoms of the disease.

Based on the report, Philippine Ambassador in UAE, Hjayceelyn Quintana, confirmed and is grateful that the young Filipino COVID-19 patient has recovered from the disease. She treated Baby Zaine’s recovery as a miracle.

The Philippine Ambassador to UAE reiterated that Filipinos must “remain vigilant” in exercising measures to prevent coronavirus infection. Currently, there is a total of 14,730 cases of the disease confirmed in UAE and 2,966 of the patients recovered while 137 died of the disease.
