US President Donald Trump gave his reaction after photos of North Korea Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un’s public appearance surfaced online.

Talks about the health condition of the dictator circulated mid-April. Then, allegations surfaced that he passed away after a failed heart surgery. The rumors even hyped up due to Kim’s absence. Reportedly, it is unlikely for him not to appear before the public for a long time.

However, the top security adviser of the North Korean leader slammed the allegations and said that Kim is “alive and well“. A recent report from the NK state media said that Kim Jong-Un made a public appearance after weeks of not doing so. Reportedly, he attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony in a factory. However, initially, the media outlet did not release any photo of the said event. At that time, President Trump refused to give his statement yet.

After the photos of the Supreme Leader surfaced on social media, the US President gave is reaction through his Twitter post. Trump retweeted the post from the Twitter account of @LokmanKaradag1 with the caption: “#KimJongUn cut the tape at the ceremony marking the completion of Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory in Sunchon. #NorthKorea.”

Trump, in his retweet, said, “I, for one, am glad to see he is back, and well!” This is the first time that Kim had his public appearance in about three weeks.

Based on the report from CNN, when the White House was asked for more details regarding the tweet of the US President, as well as the authenticity of the photos, a US official stated that the photos showing Kim during the ribbon cutting ceremony at a fertilizer factory are “legitimate”.
