Kim Jong-Un reportedly appeared before the public
Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korea’s state media, reported that Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un amid the issue regarding his health.
A few days ago, reports surfaced stating the health situation of the dictator and allegedly he eventually died due to a heart surgery failure. However, several conflicting stories about Kim also surfaced in different news sites.
Later on, the Supreme Leader’s top security adviser disproved the allegations and stated that Kim is “alive and well”.
Days after this, North Korea’s state media released a report stating that Kim Jong-Un made a public appearance, based on the report from BBC. Reportedly, the dictator cut the ribbon at the opening of a fertilizer factory n a region north of Pyongyang. Furthermore, the dictator, reportedly, commended the production system of the factory and for contributing to the progress in the chemical industry and food production.
The report also said that the Kim is satisfied with the service that the factory is giving.
It was also stated in the report that when he appeared before the public, people “broke into thunderous cheers of hurrah”. The report also stated that he was accompanied by senior North Korean officials, including his sister Kim Yo Jong.
However, the report from KCNA could not be independently confirmed and there were no photos provided from the said event. This reported appearance of Kim is the first he did since April 12.
Based on the report, US President Donald Trump was asked to react regarding the reported recent public appearance of Kim Jong-Un but he said that he does not want to make any comment yet about this.
