Baguio City Police Spotted with Disinfectants in Holsters While on Duty
BAGUIO CITY – police were spotted carrying disinfectant sprays in their holsters instead of guns while they are on duty enforcing ECQ guidelines.
These past few days there are lots of assaulting reports between law enforcers and enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) violators, mostly in Metro Manila. Reports where violators are being assaulted law enforcers and law enforcers are also being assaulted by arrogant violators.
Meanwhile, in Baguio City, a concerned netizen named Chynna Ulep Albert shows off police officials carrying disinfectant instead of firearms in their holsters while enforcing the ECQ guidelines in the city. The police were also wearing face masks and shields while keeping an eye in the queue of people following social distancing measures.
“We are at war against a virus, not against people. No guns, just disinfectants even in barangays. I feel safe,” Chynna wrote in her Facebook post.
The uploader and other netizens lauded the prevention action of the city battling against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Also, netizens admired residents for discipline as well.
Recently, Baguio City was hailed as ‘Model City’ for their immediate actions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Due to their effective safety measures and other preventive actions, the city has recorded lower confirmed cases.
