Is Piso Fare Dead? Here’s What Cebu Pacific Has To Say
PISO FARE DEAD? – Cebu Pacific’s Piso fare had been one of the most popular travel promos to ever grace the Philippine skies.
However, due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, travels had been cut until further notice. This caused major transportation sectors such as airlines to lose a lot of business.
Moreover, Cebu Pacific stated that to compensate for the lack of passengers, higher fare prices may be imposed. As such, this could possible result to the death of the Piso Fare promos.

As the coronavirus lockdown begins to ease, Cebu Pacific and its competitors, Philippine Airlines and Air Asia are setting up to resume flights. Although this would be under a “new normal”.
Cabin Crew would be outfitted with protective gear in addition to encouraging use of digital channels to retain physical distancing. According to an article from ABS-CBN, flights would resume only after the Enhanced Community Quarantine would be lifted on May 15.
Kaunti kasi ang nabebentang upuan, ‘pag kunyari wala na talaga ‘yong middle seat, mas kaunti ang pasaherong naghahati sa cost of mounting that flight, ang pangamba nila tataas ang pamasahe
(There are only a few seats being sold, for example, if the middle seat is removed, the number of passengers would be even less causing fewer people to share the cost of mounting that flight. Their fear is flight would fares would increase.)
As per the article, Cebu Pacific spokeswoman Charo Logarta-Lagamon said:
I think medyo speculative pa siya sa ngayon, meron naman pong ways na mapababa natin o ma-manage natin ang mga costs of the flight, hindi necessarily tataas nang walang piso fare
