Update from DOH on Coronavirus Cases in the Philippines

DOH – The Department of Health released an update on the coronavirus cases in the Philippines, April 27.

The common enemy of many countries now is the coronavirus or COVID-19. Declared as pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), this disease has claimed over 200,000 lives across the globe.

Philippines is one of the over 200 nations fighting against the spread of COVID-19. To stop the spread of the disease, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte placed the entire Luzon under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao are also under an ECQ now. Everyone is encouraged to stay at home that is why some non-essential businesses stopped their operation.

DOH Update Coronavirus Philippines

The Department of Health (DOH) releases daily update on the coronavirus cases in the Philippines. For today, April 27, 2020, the health department confirmed 198 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The recent addition to the number of coronavirus cases confirmed in PH brings the total to 7,777 now. According to the health department, 10 new deaths were recorded bringing the death toll to 511.

With regards to the recoveries, 70 new recoveries were reported. The total coronavirues recoveries in PH now is at 932.
